This website – what would you like to see?

Do the Friends of St John’s Church have a website?

Yes! You can find our homepage by visiting https://corbyglen.church

What can you expect to find?

Information about the future of the church, the special history that it contains, and the natural history that can be found in the churchyard.

This site is work in progress, and we want to expand it to deliver more information about how the historical significance of St John’s has developed through the ages as part of the Corby Glen community.

What would you like to read about?

  • The structure of the building? Construction methods and materials?
  • The wallpaintings?
  • Bellringing and the history behind our bells?
  • Gargoyles? Why they appear on churches and their use?
  • Who’s in the churchyard?
  • War memorials and links to the military?
  • The organ and musical input?
  • What else?

We want the Friends website to be visited, used and enjoyed – exactly the same aims as those for the church itself. So, let us know what you’d like to read about and we’ll do our best to entertain you.
